WILMINGTON, Del. - Alex Inman scored the eventual game-winnning goal in the final three minutes of the game to lift visiting West Chester to a 2-1 non-conference men's soccer victory over host Wilmington Thursday afternoon.
Inman scored off an assist from Jason Mackel as West Chester (9-8) won its second straight contest of the week. Wilmington falls to 10-5-1 with the loss.
Wilmington's leading scorer Oren Segev put the hosts up 1-0 in the 10th minute. However, West Chester's Bryan Nugent evened things up two minutes before halftime.
From there, the two sides played even until Inman was able to break through with three minutes left in the contest.
Kevin Ballick and David Miller picked up assists on Nugent's game-tying goal in the first half.
West Chester returns to PSAC play on Saturday when the Golden Rams travel to Slippery Rock. West Chester will be looking to avenge a 1-0 overtime loss to The Rock earlier in the season.
